SMS Terms & Conditions

1. Program Description

Houston Electric Inc. utilizes automated SMS alerts to programmatically dispatch critical SCADA system alarms, infrastructure monitoring notifications, and operational system updates to authorized personnel, technicians, and client administrators.

2. Enrollment & Opt-In

Users enroll in the Houston Electric Inc. text notification program by manually provisioning their mobile phone number inside our secure, private SCADA management platform (heiscada.com) or by submitting a verbal or written request to an authorized company representative. By providing your mobile number, you explicitly authorize Houston Electric Inc. to send automated operational alerts to your device.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies entirely based on SCADA system events, automated triggers, equipment faults, and operational statuses.

4. Cost

Houston Electric Inc. does not charge for this service. However, message and data rates may apply from your wireless carrier for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you, according to your mobile service plan.

5. Opt-Out (Cancellation)

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Text “STOP” to unsubscribe. After you send the SMS message “STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. You may also request removal at any time by emailing our support team at support@houstonelectricinc.com or calling (580) 863-2863. To reactivate alerts after opting out, an administrator must re-provision the contact profile.

7. Carrier Liability

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Messages may not be delivered in all areas or at all times due to network capacity limitations or system outages.
